What are dental implants?
Dental implants or what some patients call a “post” is a prosthetic device used to aid in replacing a missing tooth. The implant is used to replace the root portion of a tooth and after healing a crown is fabricated to fit the implant and replace the portion of a tooth that is seen above the gums.
Implant Requirements:
Implant success requires a fairly healthy patient and relies on your body’s ability to heal around the implant. Implants do require a few months of waiting to heal but have a very high long term success rate.
